In appreciation of your visit to Maine this summer, the Maine Turnpike Authority is offering a special program to save you time and tolls when touring our great state. It’s called the Pine Tree Pass.
You can enjoy three weeks (21 days) of unlimited travel on the Maine Turnpike from August 9, to August 29, 2000 for just $10.00. And by signing up for this highly discounted rate in advance you may enter and exit the Turnpike without paying cash tolls. With a Pine Tree Pass on your windshield, you’ll just drive through. The Pine Tree Pass may be used on all classes of motor coaches, even those with other vehicles in tow.
The typical roundtrip fare for a motor coach traveling between Kittery, Maine and the FMCA convention in Brunswick is between $10.85 (Class 3) and $14.65 (Class 5). That means a Pine Tree Pass will pay for itself after one roundtrip. Any additional trips on the Turnpike during your stay come courtesy of the Maine Turnpike.
It’s our way of saying, "Welcome to Maine." And it’s a great way to keep those motor coaches moving! We hope you’ll take advantage of this program by signing up immediately. Here’s how it works:
· Complete the enclosed Pine Tree Pass application and return it to us with a $10.00 check or money order made out to the Maine Turnpike Authority. All payments and applications must be received by July 10, 2000. Please mail payment and application to: Maine Turnpike Authority, 430 Riverside Street, Portland, ME 04103.· Once we receive the application and payment, we will rush you a Pine Tree Pass to be placed in a highly visible location on the driver’s side of your motor coach windshield. The Pine Tree Pass will allow you to enter and exit the Maine Turnpike at any location without paying a toll from August 9 to August 29, 2000.
· The Pine Tree Pass may only be used on your motor coach. It is valid for any motor coach classification, including motor coaches towing other vehicles. It is not valid for other vehicles.
