FROM THE PRESIDENT……Bill Elkins

Carol and I just returned home from the Granite Staters Rally at the Fryeburg Maine Fairgrounds. Everyone who attended had a good time. It’s nice to see that the Granite Staters are keeping the “family” in Family Motor Coach. There were several children and grandchildren who visited. Parents of one member spent the weekend with us also. As always the “Hosts” did a good job and we appreciate their efforts.

We should be getting places reserved for next year, it would be nice to have them all booked by our September meeting. Please let myself or the Wagon Master know of any places are able to accommodate us for a Rally. We have not had a combined Chapter rally in several years the last one was at Salisbury Beach a few years ago. Either with or without full Hook-ups even Dry Camping, should be considered.

The Granite Staters have 25 Volunteer Coaches for Security and Day Gate duty going to the NEAR Rally at Essex Jct. VT. Thanks in advance to the Volunteers.

Thanks to Bob Burnham for taking over as Newsletter Editor. Anyone having items for the newsletter should send them to bob@granitestaters.org or by mail at PO Box 203, Hinsdale NH 03451.

Keep Smiling,

Bill

July Rally at Fryeburg Fairgrounds

The Fryburg rally was a great success and we had a nice time.Ended up making a profit of 131.31 and we had a very generous donationn from Thelma Buck for $20.00.She has some beautiful doilies that she crochets and said she would donate half of what she could sell to the chapter. All she wants is the money to buy materials to do more to keep herself occupied. Some of these doillies should sell for over $100.00.Hope she brings them to future rallies.

From the Webmaster

As President Bill notes in his comments above, I have agreed to continue publishing the Newsletter on line. The only difference is is that there will no longer be a "Newsletter Editor" per se, although I will prepare a copy for our snail mail list. Bill has agreed to continue with the function of printing and mailing those few copies, and I thank him for doing that. We will continue with our schedule of printed Newsletters in March, May, July, and November. however, the Web pages will be updated whenever new information is received, such as the rally schedule, rally details, for sale and wanted items for the Mart page, and, of course any "late breaking" news. Please send all copy to me as you have done in the past for former Editors.

If you want notice when the next Newsletter comes on line, please send me an email at burnham@sover.net.

What's on your mind? I invite any member to submit thoughts, suggestions, or other comments to me to include in this newsletter. Names will be withheld, if requested, but anonymously submitted materials will not be displayed.
