Report From Bill McShea on NEAR

Granite Staters were well represented at the Northeast Area Rally in Springfield, MA. A total of approximately 940 coaches attended this warm, mid-July event. Granite Staters volunteered to work Security and Day Gate under the leadership of Fred and Blanche Roberts, and Bill and Carol Elkins.
At the closing ceremony on Saturday night, R.G. Wilson (President of FMCA) presented the Granite Staters Chapter a 10 Year Anniversary Certificate which was accepted on behalf of the club by Bill McShea, Secretary.
The Northeast Motor Home Association also presented the chapter a Certificate of Appreciation for their participation in the Newsletter Recognition.

Report on NEAR
Bill & Carol Elkins, Fred & Blanche Roberts, and Bob & Marilyn Smith

The NEAR Rally in Springfield, MA presented several problems for the Granite Staters security and day gate volunteers. Due to inconsistencies in fairground performance, the rally master requested schedule changes daily. You can be very proud of our people as they accepted graciously all the inconveniences.
