Thank you to all that came to the long week end at the Ted Williams Park.
There were 15 campers enjoying the long week end festivities. The weather threatened rain for a few days, but it didn't dampen the spirit of these wonderful Granite Staters.
The facilities included a building with a large room, with a wonderful view of the lake. We enjoyed doing puzzles, card games and Mexican train.
Everyone stayed busy traveling around the area during the days, enjoying the sights. Which included, the Edaville railroad trip, the cranberry festival, wineries, Plymouth Rock, Plymouth Plantation, the canal and the Cape. Some took a helicopter ride and had a grand view of the area, including the ocean on both sides of the Cape. Also the King Arthur's Fair, the Cranberry Festival, Plymouth, the Canal. Edaville RR. Some even made the time to visit the local Camper dealerships, looking at new rigs.
Saturday night was a potluck supper with many different dishes to share. Dessert of Apple crisp and ice cream was enjoyed by all. A special thanks to the Monroe's for bringing the dessert. It was soooooo goood. Satuday evening's special entertainment by the "Greene's homemade band" was a must to see. I even got a picture of the Read's laughing hard. It is a wonder that I even got a picture as I was so busy laughing myself!!
Following this show the Fords entertainment was quite interesting. Steve and his children were able to stun us with their abilities to come up with names of famous people we were thinking of. They were amazing. None of us could figure out how they were able to do this.
Following the entertainment, we had a "Chinese Auction", where everyone received a small gift. Again we had many laughs, as everyone wanted someone else's gift. The person that had the good fortune of her choice of all the gifts was Debra Ford. The gifts were all donated by the family hosts. I do believe that the Fords seemed to get most of the beanies that were floating around that night.
Sunday night was Pizza night with all kinds of Pizzas and various desserts. Following the pizza party was grand campfire.
Each camper all recieved a goody bag which included a couple of refrigerator magnets, dish towel, dish clothes, and their own personal Granite Stater label cards to remember this camping week end.
Again thank you all for coming. A special thank you to the Greene's for spending their 51sth wedding anniversay with us, not to mention all the work they did too. Another special thanks to Ron Parsons and Cindy LaFrance for all the hard work and running around they did. We had a wonderful week end with our old and new camping buddies. Thank you all so much.
