ONE VERY IMPORTANT ITEM==
ALL VOLUNTEERS MUST
PRE-REGISTER FOR THE CONVENTION

All Security Volunteers should plan to arrive at the convention grounds on Monday (8/14/00) between 8:00 a.m. and noon. The Security Volunteers will be parked together in the volunteer parking area. Since this preferred parking area is reserved for volunteers, only those people listed as volunteers will be furnished with approprirate credentials to be parked in this area.

There will be a meeting for all security volunteers on Tuesday (8/15/00) at 3:00 p.m. We will begin working on Wednesday morning (8/16/00).

On Wednesday evening at 5:30, there will be a casual pre-convention volunteer party and appreciation ceremony with food provided by FMCA for all convention volunteers. An official invitation will be sent to each volunteer in their confirmation packets that you will receive on or shortly after July 21st.

You do not have to go in Monday the 14th as a place will be saved for all volunteers.
Let me know when you plan on arriving, so I can set up a schedule.

Security starts at coffee time and stops at the end of entertainment. Volunteers job will be to check badges before rally members enter seminars, vendors, and motorhomes that are on display. Some will be checking around the camping area. National would like to have volunteers work a total of 8 hours, such as 2 - 4 hour shifts or 4 - 2 hour shifts. This schedule will be made up after we get all our information from national. National will have people there who will advise us on what is expected of us as volunteers. We need around 136 volunteers. The New Jersey Gems will be working with us and are hoping to have around 50 volunteers. If you would like to volunteer, let me know as soon as possible. We will work in pairs.

If you do volunteer, I would like your telephone number and your e-mail address if you have one. The rally will be held in Brunswick, ME August 18 - 19 - 20.
The volunteers who enter later in the week will be allowed to park with us. Those that want to go in early must be security volunteers!!! The names that are submitted will have a space saved for them. As I receive more information I’ll let everyone know.
